To gain enough strength to protect his village and keep his friends, such as Sahira, from having to go down a dark path.

Dislikes: nightmares, losing at card games, being shunned, overly maternal people
Fears: ghosts, dragons (it’s less of a fear and more of being intimidated by their large size)

Personality:
Luko is a “gentleman”. Has a huge soft spot for women and will help them if they ask for almost anything. At times he may come off as cold-hearted. Sometimes he hurts people's feelings without even meaning to because he is a blunt person. Lying makes him sick with guilt but he's less likely to feel sick with guilt if he's in danger.To him, everything is a gray. Nothing is black or white and it's better to learn both sides of a situation. He isn't hot-headed at all. He is calm and observant except for when he is freaking out (because of spiders). Isn’t one to make a scene or draw attention towards himself.
Luko is a go-getter and ready anyone who’s willing to join him into his antics, which often leads to trouble. Luko is smart and quick-thinking. His strength lies in improvising in the moment. He’s not above playing cheap tricks to win a fight if he knows that the opponent is stronger than him (tossing sand up into their eyes).
His darker side craves for power and sometimes he loses sight.

History:
Luko's mother, a farmer, is an overly-adoring, maternal gerudo hence his aversion for people who are like that but he still loves her. It's just that his cheeks were almost always bruised with pinch-marks as a child. His father is a Sheikah who works as a courier and a musician on the side. He also had his grandparents on his mother’s side in the village to look after him when his parents were hard at work. The boy never met his father’s family, nor would his father talk much about his past. What mattered was the present and making a meaningful life now.
Ever since Luko was a child, he felt different. Gerudo are generally known to be women, but he felt like a boy, not a girl. Even though the current general population accepedt nonbinary and transmen Gerudo, a handful of the older generation would not accept it. Insecure as a child, Luko began to dye his hair to be like his father’s with the black ink his dad used for his job and paint sheikah tattoos on his skin to pretend he was Sheikah rather than Gerudo. This got him into trouble quite a handful of times, especially when he accidentally painted the tattoo on his arm in such a way that it was displayed upside down. Eventually, he grew out of the habit and decided to make his own (permanent) tattoos.
Fascinated with the warriors in town, and with fire, Luko had a dream to become a blacksmith. To hone his strength, he’d do hard labor on the farm, practice with the wrestlers. Then came the odd jobs around town and adventuring jobs to gain more life experience before he'd convince a Gerudo weaponsmith hobbyist to teach him. With Rudania’s newest addition of a forge, he’s now working as an apprentice under the woman.

Carries around a good luck charm (he thinks it helps him win card games)
Has a pet boar named Obu. His mother tried to get into livestock farming, but shifted gears when her son fell in love with the boar and wouldn’t let her slaughter him for meat. So now she just harvests crops.
LOVES fire. He knows how to use fire in different ways
Fascinated by magic.Likes to pretend that he can do magic when doing his magic tricks. Won’t correct people if they think it’s magic, but he won’t outright lie about it. He’ll just shrug and say “Who knows?”
Reluctantly joined Soruma’s sumo wrestling school at first but stayed because he wanted to get stronger.

Dislikes: bitter or salty foods, heights, spiderwebs, getting lost, Luko leaving him behind (on accident usually)
Obu tries to be "cool" and "calm" like how he views Luko to be but fails horribly. He's naive, likes to cuddle, and if anyone is sad, he'll cuddle with them ... then steal their food. He acts confident like he's "top dog" but when something appears that frightens him, the act quickly fades and he cowers behind Luko or anyone he likes. Yes, he is a coward.
Obu is very energetic and likes attention and adoration. He LOVES to be spoiled.
