Also called the Eurasian blackbird or simply just the blackbird depending in the part of the world they are found in.This is a species of true thrush found naturally across a wide range in the world including Europe, north Africa and western Asia and have since been introduced to Australia and New Zealand. These are territorial birds particually during mating seasons, pairs will maintain territories throughout the year in temperate climates. These are omnivorous animals feeding on a wide range of insects, earthworms and fruits. These are a widely distributed species as such there are a wide range of geographical subspecies currantly recognised.
