Daughter of Nyx and Erebus.Sister of Hemera and Ether.
In Greek mythology, Hespera is the primordial goddess of the afternoon. Like her sisters, she is the goddess of evening twilight, personification of sunset, this being one of the Hesperides (Goddesses). She belonging to the entourage of Nyx, her mother.
Her name means 'Evening Light', a reference to the setting sun.
His sisters and companions Hesperides (Goddesses) were: Egle - the radiant - goddess of the reddish light of the afternoon and Erithia - the splendorous - goddess of the splendor of the afternoon, both were daughters only of Nyx by parthenogenesis that is without a father.
