Warriors are born in battle, and Scarlet Night is no exception. Once having gone by the name of Arienne, she is an avid swordswoman who can mercilessly slay every foe in the way with a claymore, fueled by the thrill of battle, which speaks volumes of a potentially unending thirst for blood and war. Discovering her powers of Fire magic in the Froudling War, her guardian, Bourke de la Janvier, sends her off along with Merle Ambrose to start the Ravenwood School of Magic, in hopes that her bloodthirsty path will be replaced by a future in pyromancy, and was renamed Scarlet Night.

Through the rifts of time, she ends up in a time where Ravenwood becomes more established, and starts her education to become a wizard of Fire.
