this... really came out nicely! its very hard to draw asher as a human, he has the most frustrating nose! thankfully his expression is very simple ^^

this is sort of a different story for Lear and Asher

its kind of mature, so i'll give you a chance to stop reading...

Asher was born to a prostitute in a brothel, and his mother was very deeply in debt. his mother died of natural causes and Asher was left with his mothers debt to pay, so, he did the only thing he could, he took up his mothers profession.

Lear is an orphan living with her uncle, who spends most of her time in a library, reading books.

Asher likes to go to the library as well, it gets him away from the agony he has to go through at night. he and Lear meet there, but he tells her nothing about himself, afraid she won't want to be in his company.

they become friends, and they become each others solace from their lives, as Lears uncle is neglectful and is hardly home, Lear is lonely... Asher in truth needs a real friend.

one night, it is Lears uncle who is one of Ashers customers. when her uncle sees the same man he spent a night with hanging out with his niece, he becomes angry, determined for Lear to find a decent husband and not to soil her reputation like he has, he forbids lear from ever speaking to Asher again and promptly goes and offers Asher money to stay away from her... enough money to pay off his depbt
