This is one of the most complexed drawings i have ever seen. This is just another example of how important detailing is to achieve a specific feeling of the concept.
I think all those pieces and squigly shapes are all pieces of her life. They are small but they all build up herself, alone they won't show that much but together they complete her. She is looking on them to find herself, or she is looking or more places to fill out with more pieces

Surreal images are pretty hard to understand to myself, but it's looks like some kind of dream or feelings of the woman in the picture.
