Description

Here is a trick I learned from fellow deviant purience.

You can capture video of a game (in full screen mode) using Wndows-G.  You first need to start the windows app called xbox from the start menu.  Then enter wndows key+ALT+G to bring up the game bar.  You can hide the game bar with windows+G and start your game.  When the game is running, use windows + G again to bring up the game bar.  On the game bar, find the button for recording the game.  The app will record the game as you play.

When you finish recording press the stop button, hide the game bar, and exit the game normally.

Your video will be in a folder at  C:\videos\games.  This video is a screen capture of that session.

I used this app to record a short session of the movies (in full screen mode).  I took a movie that was ready for release and dropped in on the movie player in the production facility.  The movies plays in a clean window and it was recorded

You can then edit the mp4 file in your favorite video editor to extract the movie.
