It has been six months since the last episode of Thomas of Vantor was published and there are a few changes in the way I do things.  I have switched from a 4x3 panel page to a 3x4 panel page.  This allows me to make the panels a little bigger and still have a page that is no wider than screen at maximum (at least on my monitor), but it does require scrolling down a bit to see it all.  All of the meshes used in creating these panels are imported from "The Movies," a computer game from Lionhead (RIP).  Some of the textures, however, were borrowed from the Medieval Library Mod by Sexymaria.  Twelve panels per page still seems to be about right to advance the plot and reach some kind of dramatic conclusion by the last panel.

For this particular episode, all of the panel scenes were set up and rendered in Blender 2.49b, but two of them were rendered in Blender 2.79b because for some reason the quill pen does not look right in Blender 2.49b.  Captions and balloons were added using Paint Shop Pro 5, a graphics tool that came out some time in the last century.  So far, it has continued to serve through all versions of windows from Win-98 to Windows 10.

Another innovation introduced here is that for the first time, I sat down and wrote out a complete script for the entire episode before doing a single render.  Although there were script changes during production, it proved to be a great time saver having the dialog all laid out and ready to go while setting up the blender scenes which ultimately became the panel images.
