Description
Irene is the apprentice of her grandmother the Witch who lives near Zora's Waterfall and is descended from the original Seven Sages who sealed the Sacred Realm hundreds of years ago before the events of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. She befriends Link early in his adventures and offers her assistance to him as she was told to "take care of green". She will transport him to any weathervane, until her broom does it itself as she was kidnapped by Yuga all along. After resurrecting Ganon then merge with him, Irene was sent to Lorule's Swamp of Evil, which is also known as the Misery Mire. Once Link rescues her, she promises Link to give him a thank-you letter once rescuing all the Sages. She will then use her power with the Sages to summon the Triforce of Courage for Link so he could defeat the Demon King Yuga-Ganon and return the Triforce of Hyrule back to its world.

Seeing that Irene and her family are wielders and studies of magic and witchcraft, it is possible that she may descended from Nabooru, thus making Irene of Gerudo descent and the current Sage of Spirit despite that Irene is actually Hylian. One of the Gerudo members know witchcraft and magic, three of them are mostly known to be actual evil sorcerers, the Twinrova sisters and Ganondorf.
