This is my entry for the "save the murlocs" contest over at: [link] If you don't' know, Murlocs are lovable critters in World of Warcraft... but all we seem to do is try to kill them. Every year there are hundreds of orphaned Murlocs, because we slaughter their parents and burn their homes!
The winner gets a Baby Murloc orphan pet, the ones thay gave to people who attended Blizzcon. So they're rare!
update: I didn't win anything in the contest sadly. (the winners are ont he site there) I can't say I agree with their choices, and I'm not saying that because I lost. While I can see the 1st place winner being picked, the runner ups were not creative or very artistic. I have to determine they were picking winners based on what could sell the most DVDs and T-shirts. (their cafepress store is full of them.) I might make some store items out of this image though.

O.o nice picture, but MURLOCS ARE EVIL!!! the rush and kill many players. that and my graphics card doesnt like the grphics of the whole water reflicting thing. Nicely drawn though.

It reminds me of this random thiingy my friend said after some punks set off the fire alarm 3 days in a row. It was "What if some psyco decides to set off the fire alarm with a flamethrower, and then stands at the entrance to the courtyard burning everybody that comes for registration???"
I'd be more worried about the massive "crowd control" gates getting locked on us. Oh well, everyone has their own fears I guess...
Seriously, those gates are a nusciance. If an area gets too clogged with people going to-and-fro, they lock down the gates in that area!!! It just slows people down and adds to the problem! (and the amount of "crawling under gate" related injurys has vastly increased this year.)

I love the murlocs, and they make the most adorable noises when I am whacking or slashing at them, far more appealing than those repulsive troggs or those drab kobolds. 
Who wouldn't love to have an adorable murloc orphan at their side? I know Ms. Honeysuckle would look all the more adorable with a murloc for a pet. :cute:
I certainly wish you luck in the competition. It would be a wonderful thing to see murlocs with flamethrowers. Even more delightful than the deer with AK-47s that I envision.

Hey now, You didnt see the guy at Blizzcon Dressed as a PETA memeber dressed like a Murloc. He was going around screaming "SAVE THE MURLOCS!" and stuff! Was cool... later at the Offspring concert, poor guy got into the pit (I know... at Offspring... who would have thunk it.)
But yea, LOVE my baby Murloc! Murky is so fucking cute Damnit! BOW TO THE DANCE!!! *Murky dances with top hat all WB frog style*

Pbbth to Kobolds.... Murlocs are evil, and everywhere. One time I was getting gang-manked, i jumped off the cliff into the water to escape, swam to the distant shore on the other side, and what do you know? A murloc comes and bites my head off... Well not literally, but my health was still low and it had an easy time defeating me.
On a side note: Murlocs may be evil in a box, but they're too stupid to make flamethrowers... -_-
