Bridge as the Red (among other, more subtle changes) makes me think that the retros were all an illusion in the first place. Think about it, he's the telepath, he's the most likely to be read among the SPD who went into the past. His data could be plucked and used to fabricate a Red, or maybe I'm just bitter that we didn't get to see Red Sky in action.
