Description
One of two pieces made in anticipation of the upcoming Beast Wars comic courtesy of IDW featuring my personal ideal lineup of Maximals. Clockwise, going from top across the bottom and then through the middle from the left:

Airazor: Maximal scout, wry and good natured with keen optical sensors. As one of the only fliers on the team, she is an indispensable asset. Hangs out with Tigatron often.

Grimlock: You all know Grimlock. Kind of an uncooperative prick, but undeniably one of the most powerful assets the Maximals have. The only member of the crew that can actually remember the Great War seeing as he was there for the majority of it.

Cybershark: Aquatic Scout #1. A bit dim, but enthusiastic and supportive of his friends and colleagues. Think Brave and the Bold Aquaman meets Prince Sidon.

Nyx: New character to the comics. We don't know much about her at this point in time, but that's subject to change.

Claw Jaw: Aquatic Scout #2. Much like Tigatron in that his squid mode is a huge part of his identity. Not very talkative, but dependable and an adept saboteur.

Optimus Primal: The leader himself, "Boss Monkey," "Big Bot." Respects the Maximal code of law, but isn't above bending it to get the job done and is on the more irreverent side when it comes to commanding officers. As he puts it, "sometimes crazy works."

Rattrap: Pessimistic little sleaze. Really doesn't want to be here and kind of a pain to put up with, but undeniably one of the best demolition experts you'll ever find.

Razorbeast: Tough, dedicated, and if you don't mind the pun, stubborn to the point of pigheaded. Does respect the chain of command, however, and will heed the orders he's given to a T.

Wolfang: A keen team player and more humane tactical counterpoint to Dinobot's bluster. Attempts to foster cooperation wherever he can, and will even go so far as to spend time with actual flesh and blood wolves.

Bonecrusher: A taciturn bruiser. Less technically adept than most of his cohorts, but definitely one you'd want on your side in a fight as he is equipped with an anti-air missile that he can fire from his mouth. Though he's never deliberately menaced any of his comrades, his typically silent demeanor gives a few of them the creeps.

Rhinox: Primal's right-hand 'bot. Technical wizard, strong man, well-read, loves to lay around in a field of flowers or read books. A real Renaissance 'bot.

Dinobot: Defected from the Predacons. The most warlike of the Maximals, but not without good reason. His sense of warrior's honor is ultimately what keeps him in check.

Cheetor: The kid brother of the Maximal cause. Idolizes Optimus, but Rattrap and Dinobot can both be bad influences on him. Eager to prove himself a valuable member of the team to the point of foolhardiness.

Tigatron: Maximal scout. Almost more tiger than Maximal, and as a result is very in tune with his nature. Often the spiritual guide and moral backbone of the Maximals.
