Description
A common Imperial torpedo boat, the Cobra is fast and maneuverable enough to get into a position from where its torpedoes will do the most damage. However, due to its small size, large engine signature, and relatively poor armor, it does not stand up well to enemy fire. This usually isn't a problem though, due to the long range of a torpedo. Cobras act in squadrons of between two and six ships, making a torpedo volley from a squadron enough to cripple a large capital ship. It is the smallest independent Imperial warship, the smaller ones being carried aboard larger cruisers.

The Cobra has torpedo tubes in the prow, and weapons batteries positioned to fire to the sides, and in front of the ship. Although, the weapons batteries are a purely defensive measure, for when the Cobra is attacked by enemy escorts. They are short ranged, and are almost never used to attack a capital ship, not being powerful enough to do any real damage. Cobra Class Destroyers are often seen fighting alongside Space Marine formations.

Thought I'd start submitting ship designs as well. Next will probably be a Sword Class frigate or Lunar Class cruiser.
