My favorite cover thus far
I wasn't too happy with the issue 5 cover. It just didn't do anything for me from the get go.
this one was quite easy, fast and fun to do. Some pieces come to life on their own. ( Also, I just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 when I did this one so the tech was inspired by it. Awesome game but I'm now saving myself for Fallout 3. I just hope Bethesda doesn't screw it up by using the same boring writing as Oblivion.)
Laura's colored version was friggin amazing as well! She also fixed up Cap's costume for me, I forgot to draw in his stripes.
One more issue to go!

Dude. Your line art makes me weep. I know i'm losing man-hood points here, but I can't help it. I have much respect for your work, your talent, and your progression as an artist. Been following you since your stint on Wolverine.
Seeing the "Classic" Avengers in the updated style is awesome in and of itself, but this.. this just takes it to that spine-tingling level that I love about comix.
Your rendering of Ironman is top notch. The design is neither too simple nor too detailed. That just right mix of large sectional armor areas that cover the more detailed tech underneath. The Head, neck, chest plate area is especially awesome and well detailed. Extremely nice Chiarascuro ( had to throw an art term in)
If you drew IronMan full-time i'd actually buy that book.
