Okay, listened to it with the song, and it just makes it that much more awesomely trippy XD.
You can just imagine walking along that sandbar, and climbing -into- that world, that realm, that darkness inside it giving the illusion that just maybe it keeps going. I don't know if it's just me here, but I think the stones and sand, besides looking more natural than a dock or such, went well with the smooth outside of the orb (complementing the sand) and the rough amethyst inside (complementing the stones). It helped give a set texture to the vision it places in your mind, rather than one thing being jarringly different than the others. It just all fits so well together and really takes you out of reality.

Thank you very much for an elaborate comment. My works are visualised dreams or daydreams. Making them is always a journey to my mind and I'm hoping that watchers are able to get the same feeling when they looking at these pictures.

Thanks. I'm sure you'll learn to use Photoshop in no time. The artistic passion is the most important thing. Three years ago I knew nothing about making digital art. Then I bought Ps CS2 and started to play with it. Now I got CS5. I installed it yesterday and it seems that there's lots of new things to learn in it. I made my latest work Grounded with CS5.
