Now I would of never thought to use real landscape in a space piece. Hun you make the resat of us afraid to do a space piece because yours are that darn good

I'm just a beginner in this. I made my first space scene about six months ago. If you think these are good you haven't seen the best space artists.

Thought soo I am so broke I have to stick with GIMP

Lemmy-X In reply to Kitt98 [2010-01-26 18:51:46 +0000 UTC]

There's nothing wrong with GIMP. I know a couple of professionals who have changed to Gimp after using Photoshop for years.

Nope I love it.. my only problem is it's tendacy to freeze sometimes and I lose my work.. *le sigh*..

Lemmy-X In reply to Kitt98 [2010-01-26 20:14:46 +0000 UTC]

Photoshop does that too. I'm always saving before doing something that might cause it. Lighting effects are the worst actions. And it's not about having a lousy computer. My PC is powerful enough for CS2.

Kitt98 In reply to Lemmy-X [2010-01-26 21:23:37 +0000 UTC]

Really? Now that I did not know here I thought it was only GIMP? I get so mad when that happens. With GIMP it is the layers that do that.. The more layers you make the faster it locks up..

NICE PC, I was told I needed a new one, now I am not so sure

Reducing the image size helps. And cropping away the parts that don't show in a picture is a good way to prevent it happening so often.

Mr. Morrison was such a musical master... imho, he had the midas touch with every piece he worked on Talent like that inspires so much and, personally, takes my breath away
