Description
This was produced for a RISD Anthology, hopefully-potentially being published over the summer. I don't really want to do comics as a career, and I think this is typical of my major compositional weakness - diagramming! - but it was fun for now. The title page was created to enable two spreads and to avoid my other homework, woop woop!Related content

Everything about this is lovely. Even the pointy noses. I do like the panel with the sea dragon best, but the style of character drawings is also very nice.

I think this goes beyond good art.
Art is not only technical prowess at any given medium, but also creating something that is capable of awakening emotions inside the viewer.
This "comic", of sorts (which is more tragic than comic) is a fine example of that. While the visual aspect is polished near perfection and is a pleasure to watch, the final vignette is a testament on how visual media can be a powerful tool to transmit feelings. With just that last part, I felt the incredible responsiblity of the big brother, the obligation towards his little brother and the need to stay strong even under such a desperate situation, if only to stay with his brother.
A very strong message, that couldn't have been transmitted in a better way.
