The ??? Gym was a Doubles gym. The gym leader set up a mixed team in order to take on any challengers who come her way. May, the trainer from the Hoenn region, just recently beat Steven Stone and Wallace for the Champion title, so she went over to the Orbaria region. May did quite well, beating all the typed gyms. When she reached the 19th gym, she came across a roadblock. Since her team was built for Single Battle strategies, May was quickly defeated with the double power of the rain. The Gym leader nodded and decided to help May with being prepared for anything. Soon, May was put in a ??? Typesuit.
