...aka 'horny stories' XDDDi was planning to work really long on this one but... as always i ended up doing the colours in just a few hours..... *stabs self*
speed painting will seriously become the end of me ;___;
i'm kiiiinda happy with this one, i guess... just hope i'll manage to make a really top-quality pic next time x__x;;

okaay, many people asked about the tree-spirit-thingie so i guess i should explain a bit~
the 'thing' is obviously inspired by kodama tree-spirits you could see in mononoke hime.. i lurve studio ghibli and their animes have had great influence on me ^^=
but! lol;; the tree-spirit you can see here is not completely the same as ghibli's kodamas. it's uhh, my version XDDD;;
take a look at kodamas and this thing and you'll be sure to see some differences ...i think lol;;;;;
yah, what else...
ooh, my tree-spirits will steal any sugar they can find X3
but they don't eat it!
they worship sugar-cubes and build pyramids of them, haha~
..i'll have to draw it one day lol

the main colouring i do in opencanvas1.. i only do effects on photoshop.. like texture layer, darkening colours, lineart cleaning and stuff

so beautiful forest theme your drawing has ! with the tiny white spirit and those three gear which are like from huge clock in the water makes it really fantasy-like. the character looks cool and calm while reading his book. the white spirit reminds little bit the ones from ghibli's monokone movie like you said and i think he looks very cute with the three red eyes and with that smoke-like way going hair thingy in his head ^u^ the way the characters are sitting facing each other gives feeling like the white spirit is friend of that boy and it would follow him wherever he goes. details on the grass and trees are wonderful. yet the leaves of the trees are quite simple, they still are neat and i think that if they would have been more detailed they would have looked little bit messy. colouring of the water is really natural looking and the way how light reflects from it is very pretty, it gives magical touch to your work and emphazise the lamps. the background behind the front trees and character is simply gorgeous ~ you can still figure the forms of the trees though there is much of different colouring tones which are well blending with each other. darkish edges in the up and down part of the drawing gives theme of night, giving peaceful atmosphere. fantastic work and thank you for sharing

I adore your style to bits, and I have to say you do detail extensively well. I honestly wish I could do detail in the folds and bends of clothing as well as you do. The way you drew the tree is divine as well.
The coloring I think suits it extremely well. I want a print. >.>
With all of the tabs in that little book, it looks like she loves it a lot. ^^
