Ramón Valdez was a very famous comedy actor in Latin America, specially for the role of Don Ramón in El Chavo del Ocho TV show. I grew up watching this show and I still like it.
The phrase above is one of his most famous gags. That guy was hilarious.
I feel more comfortable drawing cartoon but it's good to try academic drawing once in a while. This time I'm trying portraits.

Dos personagens de Chaves, o Seu Madruga parece ser o que mais cativa as pessoas. Acho que é uma questão de identificação. É um personagem que enfrenta problemas do cotidiano, como desemprego e dívidas, mostrando o lado cômico dessas coisas que tanto nos perturbam. É um personagem genial, e Ramon Valdez o interpretou com maestria.

Man, now that's a good question! haha! I don't know exactly... but maybe that name is from the Portuguese verb "madrugar", that means "to wake up early to work". Then it would be an ironic name for this character, for he's unemployed and apparently lazy for work. So "Seu Madruga" could be translated to "Mr. Wake-Up-Early-To-Work". I just don't get why they changed his name in Brazilian version of El Chavo. The name "Ramon" sounds really normal for us so they didn't have to change it.
