The main heavy hitters of the E.P.L.R. are the Fast-Battleships.
Due to need for warships, the industrial yards can only reasonably crank out one of these every two fleets. As a fleet can have anywhere from ten to fifty ships depending on its fleet mission, it shows how resource intensive it is when their numbers are so few compared to all the others.

Despite their size, they are very fast and are often used as overkill hunting down the large scaled cruisers and fast-battleships of their A.N.E.G. contemporaries. They have greater effective standoff range with their four main energy cannons which they use to cripple enemy ships outside the range of their retaliatory responses at tens of thousands of miles. From there, the secondary hull turrets fit for close to medium ranges can accurately snipe hangars and cannons to de-fang the ship for boarding from hundreds of miles away even while on the move. This tactic is needed as the heavier guns on the A.N.E.G. ships are often poking out from massive slabs of armor.

Once closer, its anti-fighter weapon suites of varying batteries can work with its own wings of fighter-interceptors to clear the space for strike fighters, bombers and boarding drills.

If the goal is search and destroy, then a favored tactic for the Fast-Battleship against a larger opponent such as a battleship or dreadnought is to focus turret battery fire at a single point with their pinpoint precision, such as an enemy cannon poking from the hull. Dozens of charged particle lances will eviscerated the cannon and its accompanying hangar and continue on, bypassing the tough outer hull and scything and melting through the inner bulkheads and corridors to cut great portions of the ship off from the rest. Precision near missile strikes into the affected area can show far greater effect then if they splashed across the tens of meters thick hull plating and honeycombed bulkheads.
