Description
The first John Carter book in which he is zipped to Mars and meets Dejah Thoris and fights guys!
This is more Edgar Rice Burroughs maze fanart stuff, the other examples of which are RIGHT HERE and you can solve that maze in there too
This book is dynamite! It's Edgar Rice Burroughs' very first book, released as a magazine serial in 1912 as "Under the Moons of Mars" It's loaded with drama, romance, sword fighting, and features psychic abilities and mysterious forces! There was this movie based on it from Disney a few years back, but it was crap and left out the good parts
Like with my previous Barsoom arts, it's a genderbend, so Dejah Thoris is all male and stuff
I started this series about a year ago, and this one I've been doing off and on for a bit. Finished on my weekend which watching The Scalphunters with Burt Lancaster and Zardoz
I'm actually reading Burroughs right now, in the form of "Tanar of Pellucidar", the 3rd "Earth's Core" book, and also reading Otis Adelbert Kline with "Jan of the Jungle" which is a "Tarzan" knockoff.

OK, it would have been one thing to bow to modesty and put John Carter in a loincloth or something. But pants? PANTS?!?
Sorry, no.

Not you. The Disney film. John Carter's cock and presumably very fine ass were among the good parts they left out.

Disney ruined everything! They turned John Carter into a long haired scraggly douche wearing all kinds of stuff that John Carter doesn't wear... ugh

Could be. Your princess looks pretty lean and muscular, not so curvy. Just sayin'
That is, assuming the red figure on the left is the princess. I could be mistaken.

This really made me curious. Did some research in the wwi. Found a nice site about Burroughs at Wiki, interesting lifestory and a variety of publications. And there is this to read online: archive.org/stream/pellucidar0…
I am indeed a big fan of Marvel comics since I was a schoolboy. Great post here and to remind it. Happy holies to you!

PRINCESS is public domain now, right? You should put a copy up on a print-on-demand site with this as the cover. Put the title on the spine but otherwise leave the art unobstructed.
