I didn’t have any metaphorical intentions in mind when I made this fractal, but now that I think about it, the idea of a metallic weave is an interesting one. We normally think of metal as cold and hard; yet in order to weave metal pieces or strips together, they would need to be warmed and softened and/or bent to accommodate one another. Together, though, the woven strips become a strong fabric. Could be a metaphor for an idealized USA.
