Description
Let me tell you about lonelyLonely is a school dance
The worst kind of lonely
Is when you aren't alone,
And you'll never be able to combat it
Striking from the dark on some idle Tuesday
Or some dark weekend when the light dims,
And you're the only one no one asked to dance
Or when the dance is yours
But you feel like a fish
Too big or too small for it's bowl
Like you never belonged there
My bowl grew ever smaller
Until you joined me in it
Now I get glamorous glimpses
Prerequisites to paradise,
And I have to admit
I'm getting greedy
I don't want you to think me "needy"
But if there's one thing I need
It's got to be you
Because my small little bowl
It looks as abundant as the ocean
When you swim in it with me
We circle each other slowly,
First kissing lightly
Then hot and all consuming
Like underwater volcanoes
And all those times I stood alone
Or danced in silence
Under that multifaceted moon
They all seem so very far away
Because you're the only one
I ever wanted to dance with
