People think that Luigi has bad luck, but he has a Darkrai and a Magikarp that will evolve into a Gyarados. Not to mention, he has a rare Megaring, so his Banette, possible Gengar, AND Gyarados can mega-evolve.

Just because he has a Magikarp, doesn't mean he'll evolve it. Luigi isn't known for begin the sharpest tool in the shed.

Even without that, he still has other pokemon that can help him out. He has a mega Banette, and a mega gengar if he finds a Gengarite and has his brother help him to evolve his haunter. Plus, who says that Luigi doesn't have an Exp. share to help his Magikarp grow.

Luigi wouldn't be smart enough to give Magikarp the Exp. share in all honesty. He'd probably just beat Magikarp with a vacuum until it evolved.Β

He doesnt need to give Magikarp the exp. share. He can just turn it on and all party members get exp. And before you say that he would forget to turn it on, its already turned on when you get it. Also, why are you calling Luigi dumb? I know that he isn't super smart like E. Gadd, but that doesn't mean he is dumb. In the super Mario Adventures Comic, he infiltrated the Koopalings hideout by disguising as Princess Peach. He was also the first one to realize what was thawed out (A few Shroobs) before the secret boss fight in Bowser's Inside Story. He used a socktop to traverse spikes to save Mario in the same game.
