Matsutōya Ikiryo is a 22 year old shinobi of Kusagakure (The Hidden Grass Village), within my AU. Growing up, Matsutōya and her parents were devout to the study of different religious beliefs and cultural practices from all over the world, often times using their knowledge to improve their understanding of the world around them while putting to use other information in hopes of improving their own practices. It wasn't until the age of fifteen that Matsutōya had lost both of her parents to sickness. No amount of medicine nor prayer would save the girl from the reality of having to lay her parents to rest. After this, the girl had wandered, seemingly lost for months, until she happened upon Kusagakure where she'd met a woman who dabbled in the arts of mysticism. This woman was known as Arisu, one of the top shinobi of the small village, who had been highly praised for her intelligence and performance on most missions. Arisu took Matsutōya in and though she'd never had children of her own, seemed to take on an almost motherly role to the girl. For years, Matsutōya continued her studies and found new abilities with her master, training to perfect her abilities as best as she could. The peaceful life that the two women had found within each other would be suddenly and harshly ceased, however, as one day upon her return to Kusagakure, following one of her many missions, Matsutōya discovered that her master, Arisu, was found dead. She'd been killed but nobody knew exactly who had done so, leaving the case under investigation. Feeling that nobody could better solve the death to Arisu, Matsutōya took on the challenge of solving the case herself, and has since been doing everything in her power to avenge her master.

Dislike(s)- Bitter foods/drinks, bugs, mud, alcohol

Capabilities- Matsutōya dabbles in forbidden jutsu, as well as fuinjutsu. Thanks to her lineage, and third eye (typically covered by her bangs), She is also able to use an ability I can only think to call "Soul Style" at the moment. This is something I will try to explain in a later post.
