“GAMMA” ,page 2.Derek explains to Stiles that he KNOWS his …little secret. no matter how much stiles tries to avoid it.
personal thoughts: i really love how stiles came out in the second and third strips. and there s still so much to draw actually….but i m improving my styles so i m really satisfied about it

i practice in this way in order to get used to his anatomy: i simply draw him a lot of times over a tyler hoechlin face (2 layers of course). not a copy, actually. you just have to get used to the physiognomy, not with the entire character , or it will be just a copy. then, i personalize the style, the eyes and the expressions. it worked also for stiles. i m still doing some practice and you can see how it helped , if you compare the first and the second page

well it s pretty used in italian if we talk about face anatomy. i had to check the english translation actually XD

I use the word in my art classes when talking about portraiture, but it's kind of outdated (at least in English) in the way it also refers to the old-fashioned, now-disproven "science" of gauging people's mental capacity, morality and personality traits by systematically measuring their facial features, like they used to do 100+ years ago. It is such a fun word to say though, and I love that it's still relevant in the field of art.

got it. in italian it s a bit different. the word physiognomy refers just to the facial and personal traits of a person here. the pseudo science that you re talking about, is called " fisiognomica,fisiognomonica,fisiognomia,fisiognomonia" (i didn't find the english translation). in this way the 2 things are separated.

Haha, oh wow, Derek, way to go be completely, terrifyingly blunt. LOVE IT. He's brilliant. I know Derek's not the greatest strategist on the show, but I always figured he was extremely perceptive when it came to reading people. Your style is just utterly brilliant and it captures Stiles and Derek's personalities perfectly. Love this comic. Hope you update soon, because I'm completely addicted.

and about derek..
yeah i think he isn't so strategist, but i think that , knowing he is a born-werewolf, he can control a lot his powers. and i also think that he learned to "read" people in a more deep way because of his experiences. he had to read people s minds in order to know if he could trust them, or in order to protect himself. sadly, he learned to DO NOT trust anyone. well... maybe Stiles will change that.
