I saw this and it was an instant watch Love forest themes in general, and this is one of the most vibrant I've seen.

I'll admit I don't know much about traditional painting- I'll try my best to give some good feedback, though! uvu

The first thing I picked out was the rough texture for the trees, and the spongey look on the leaves. It gives the painting a unique feel right off the bat. At the same time I'm  a little wary of the texture- it's very rough, and I feel like it needs something of a softer texture to smooth it out a little. Then again, that might be difficult effect to achieve with this medium. I'm getting a comfortable warm feeling from the colors, with enough contrast to keep it interesting, too! All in all, I like the piece a lot!

This looks truly amazing. I love the different techniques used. The front looks as if you used sponge to get the wanted effect. I really like the way it turned out and that the the dark red slowly turns into yellow. This creates a very nice and warm feeling. I also love the trees. The black and white works really well and the lines look very swift. I really like the you chose a dark background. I think it competes with the yellow in the front and top nicely and creates a mystical effect. I also like that you didn't go for realism in this piece. I think it makes it more interesting.
