This is an experiment in compositing by brute force. I scanned a photo of an Egyptian temple. I then tweeked the focus, contrast and spectrum. Onto this I waxed a cutout of a kitty I had drawn. I then scanned the collage.
Over the subdued printout I applied Prismacolors and acrylic paint to create the original artwork seen here.
