A local friend commissioned me for a dragon. It got lost in the first mail run, so I this is a replacement.Halfway through the sketching, wheels in my head began turning. Folding wings are like bent arms, and I know how cramped and tiring it can get so I pondered how to rest the wings stylishly. Something less like the Gargoyles cartoon.
EUREKA.
Rings, for the wingclaw to hook onto.
Like those handholds in subway trains.
I overthink a lot. It's a severe personality flaw.

Looking through your gallery, I've definitely noticed what you call "overthinking". I saw it as attention to detail that makes the world your drawings exist in just that much more real and interesting. Awesome stuff
