Awesome soft metallic look here. Here's hoping that the actual in-game Raiden can do this portrait justice.

Are you using a monitor with a resolution higher than 1024x768? On mine, of the said size, the Sharpened edges are a bit strong--but on a larger screen the effect probably works very well.

Omigod i can't wait for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I've watched the trailer over and over again, its really awesome. Raiden looks badass.

Oh, of course I have seen it, my friend; and definitely--Raiden is shaping up. He might even beat out Rikimaru as my favorite Video Game ninja. I mean... How badass is it truly when you can slice and dice 30 foot robots? It's like as badass as bears with laser eyes mounted by trained, veteran Lumberjacks.

This one is still made with photoshop.

The only difference is I turned off the pressure sensitivity to see what would happen.

I intend to experiment with this approach a little more.

the solid paint texture you achieved with photoshop is mind bottling. Usually painter gives that kind of effect.

You must go to ign and look at their screen shots and downloadable movies. It shows off Raidens gear in great detail.

I just don't get his boots though. It looks suspiciously like the ones found on the hardsuits of the Knight Sabers, from certain angles.

Som pixilization was intentional. I read in a tutorial somehwere about sharpening brush strokes to emulate paint buildup. But when I scaled it down, I think I sharpened it too much.
