Description
"CT-2001, later known by his nickname "Steel," was, like the rest of his clone brothers, created from the genetic template of bounty hunter Jango Fett on the planet Kamino. Grown to be among the greatest soldiers in the galaxy and a leader, Steel was given additional command training and was promoted to be an Advanced Recon Commando in the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic. He fought from the Battle of Geonosis to the Battle of Exogol.
Training
When he was a teenager, Steel was marked compatible for an experimental augmentation procedure to enhance his physical abilities. This surgery killed most of the test subjects leaving him one of the few survivors of the program. The augmentation process hastened his reflexes, increased his strength, enhanced his eyesight, and rendered his bones nearly unbreakable. His augmentations slowed down his aging later in life, allowing him to age like a normal human, eventually becoming one of the last surviving Fett clones.
Personality and traits
As well as being proficient in firearms, Steel also was trained in the art of Teräs Käsi to take on enemy force wielders. Other specialties included unarmed combat, heavy weapons, demolitions, improvised weaponry, guerrilla warfare, and marksmanship.
Equipment
Throughout his time as a soldier, Steel wore modified ARC Trooper armor. He was armed with custom DC-17 blaster pistols which were capable of automatic fire. On his left gauntlet was a wrist laser, a miniature flame thrower, and a mini concussion rocket, which utilized computer target tracking. On his right elbow, he wore a vibro-blade which extended his reach and increased the lethality of his melee attacks. These blades spun out from a neutral position and could be locked in place to either follow the troopers' upper arm or his forearms as he swung at his opponents. On his wrist he had a grappling hook, as well as electromagnetic devices in his gloves, enabling him to draw his weapons more quickly. Steel also wore a Z-6 jetpack. The jetpack included a targeting computer and a missile/grapple launcher. His helmet was equipped with a targeting range-finder that fed him constant data, allowing him to compensate for size, speed and atmospheric conditions.
