So, I decided to add some more lore to my series. This time it involves ghosts.

13 years after Goldie was deactivated by his father, a lost spirit, Vania, decided to live the life she was never able to have by living again in a new body. She bound herself to this new vessel, reactivating Goldie without the need of his power switch. Of course, Goldie retains no living memories of Vania, as she had none because she never got to live at all.

After the original Zane died, his father had attempted to build a robot to replace him, powered by his soul. Unfortunately, at the same time, Cyrus' mother Glinda, as a ghost, wanted to keep her son safe by binding his best friend and long-time protector's soul into his locket. Zane's soul was split in half; one half powered the robot, the other half stays with Cyrus, trying his best to protect him although Cyrus can't see him.

In the 1980s, a young boy named Zachary died in a forest fire. His soul wandered aimlessly for decades until he found a perfect new body: a newly-built small robot that resembled a child about the same age he'd been when he died, maybe a little older. Thinking it the perfect way to start over, Zachary bound himself to this small robot and now lives on as Goldie's son, Jacob.

Causes of death:
Zachary: Lost in a forest fire
Vania: Cut open with a scalpel and passed off as stillborn
Zane: Tripped and fell down the stairs (broken neck)

As Zachary and Vania never lived past 13, their star horns never grew in like Zane's. However, as ghosts they aged up to 18 and stopped there, but their horns still didn't grow because their bodies were long dead.
