Decided to craft another Candycorn themed custom inspired by a commission I got back in June. Only I wanted to change the colors on this one a bit and make it more Halloween-themed.
Pony base was a generation 4 unicorn. Coated the body in white gesso to give the acrylics a texture to bond to. Full body repaint in yellow acrylics, candycorn gradients are hand-painted, eyes as well. All paint sealed in artists Varnish. Added pink rhinestones to the eyes, white leather fangs on mouth.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp hair in the colors sunset and a few strands of firebird. The checkered hair is a hair clip extenstion I purchased from Claire’s Boutique. I’ve had it around for years without any excuse to use it, so I finally came up with a purpose.
Embellished the mane and tail first with green spiderweb trim, then I painted candycorns on white leather and cut them out, and added glittery pumpkins and leafs. A few gold pearly rhinestones and a ghost trinket on the tail. The ghost trinket is one of a kind as I do not know if I can get ahold of another one.
