Etsy listing: ---SOLD---I think balloon animals are life, so as soon as I learned there were balloon animal themed g1 ponies, I had to work my art with them!
These are based off of the gen 1 baby ponies Game Time and Sugar Cake who had “Happy Birthday” on their symbols originally but for these designs I wanted the focus to be balloon animals so I left the Happy Birthdays out. I also remixed their hair colors (mostly because I didn’t want to have to order more hair due to budget.)
Pony bases used are gen 1 Apple Jack and a hqg1c blank. Both coated in white gesso primer, then given full body repaint jobs in acrylics. Cutiemarks and eyes also hand painted in acrylics, eyes painted in my own style. All paint work sealed in Testors spray sealant.
Mane and tail are rooted entirely in Shimmerlocks nylon hair, permanently curled in hair gel method and styled in place with ribbon bows.
They have decoden detail in polymer and resin kawaii supplies in theme of sweets, icecream, pinwheel, balloon animals, a puppy, smiley faces, a chick and stars.
