There are no words in any language to express the pain I feel having lost Loki so suddenly and unexpectedly. Over a year later, the pain is still so fresh, so vivid...it catches the breath in my throat with a cold pressure on my heart and a hollowness in my soul. I spent over a decade in a severe mental and physical hell...barely able to function and in so, so much pain. Then...out of nowhere, Loki came into my life. Walking down the street I lived on at the time, beaten, burned and stabbed...and still with a smile on his face. From day one, Loki and I were incredibly close and over the time we spent together, he healed me in ways no one else could. We worked hard and he became my badged and lettered Service Dog. I was able to go out again, go to the doctors, start therapy...then out of nowhere...the worst 72 hours of my life...then he was gone.

Loki was my Heart Dog, my Soulmate...and every damn day is a struggle without you, my boy. I will never forget what you have done for me...

I will see you again, my friend. I love you.
