Jason winds up unlocking his King Tyrannoranger Battalizer during his teen years when the Grid Shattered. the main timeline shattered into multiple realities, causing Earth 979 to fracture into multiple earths. Rangers from across history unite and battle Lord Drakkon in a war for the Morphin' Grid. After this battle, after restoring Tommy to life, the Time Traveling Rangers from SPD and Time Force patch the timeline together and erase everyone's memories (Temporarily). It wasn't until their adult years most of the Rangers would remember. Jason, Trini and Zack would remember the original events of Shattered Grid but Tommy, Billy and Kim wouldn't until later on.
