Description
I found my old yearbook from 10th grade... It was the year my work was chosen to be displayed in it. Truthfully I have no idea what I was thinking when I did this, and I can now see how much my style has or has not changed... Those were simpler days... So here ya go, it's not the best fo scans, but I think it's worth posting just because it is rather well done...

I already know my mistakes in here, like in #5 with the missing wings... Why are they winged? Dunno, my time in High School was strange, if I wasn't at the mercy of a pencil doing my own art and stories, chances are I was in another strange staring match with the white board.... lolz

My favorite scene is #5 with Tamia's expression and then of course the final one... I am sure these were characters in a short story of mine that got lost during the move- I think my art teacher caught me doing the forbidden manga style and decided to teach a lesson by entering it for a chance in the year book... Much to both our surprise, it was voted to the top, so I put my name on it (it wouldn't have won if I had to begin with...) and she grudgingly submitted it... Not bad for about 6 years ago... This was the year before I painted the mural- which is still standing in both the school and my gallery!

I realize that the words are hard to read- here's the script:

1- Lori- Hey, Tamia, come on! We gatta go to Zoe's house!

2- Tamia- Remind me, why are we going to Zoe's house.
Lori- It's a surprise.

3- Tamia- Last time you tried to surprise someone, they ended up out cold.
Zoe- Once...

4- Tamia- *There was that new kid, Trent, you tried to throw a welcome party for, the cops thought you started another riot and crashed it. * Sarah's 16th Birthday party you used one of those 16 count Roman Candle fireworks for the large cake. It tasted like sulfer after that. * Kyri's going away party ended when she opened the door, found 50 people in her living room and fainted. *And that little girl in the school...
Lori- Ooopps...

5- Tamia- Why do I get the feeling this is not going to go well at all?
Lori- Quit worrying! Zoe! We're here!

6- Lori & Zoe- Happy Late Birthday!
Tamia- My birthday was eight months ago! Now you finally remember?

7- (Lori trips and the cake goes flying)
