Story:
Zelda was studying quietly in her house when suddenly she threw her hands up in the air. She had no idea what this calculus book was talking about! A limit can exist if it is between two other known limits? How is that possible?!
She felt a hand on her shoulder, and turned to see Link standing there. Then she had an idea. Maybe she needed a demonstration of how this theorem worked to understand it better.
Now flat as a pancake, Zelda lay on the table as Link read the problems out to her. Find the limit of sinx over x as x approaches infinity if 1 over -x is less than sinx over x is less than 1 over x? Easy, it has to be zero because both of those other limits approach zero, and with sinx over x being squeezed in between them it had to be zero as well, just like how Zelda was now squeezed into the table. This was such a great idea. Zelda knew she would have to try studying like this more often.
Notes:
I love this one. First of all its an absolutely terrible Calculus 1 joke, but once I heard the name of the theorem I could not resist making an animation out of it. Yes, yes it's terrible and will probably cost me a couple of subscribers, but it had to be done, I’m sorry. (And yeah, I did look it up to make sure I was doing the theorem correctly in the story.)
The first part is such great motion (Even though Zelda’s hands are a little weird sometimes) and I love the head turn and the slightly fearful backwards movement from Link. Part 2 isn’t as great because there’s some jank with Link holding the book, and the slamming motion isn't as smooth as it should be, but then it picks back up in part 3 with some really good small movements from Link. (Even though his hand clips through the table.)
So fun fact, I actually made an entire other animation of this that was basically the exact same thing except with Twilight instead of Link here. I finished it and was all ready to ship it, but then I realized that it would be way better with Link instead. So I remade a huge portion of the animation so I could have Link here and it was worth it. I’ll still post the one with Twilight though.
Anyways let me know if you have any requests you want me to do or anything. I’m not too busy at the moment, but it still might take me a week or so to get to it. Hope you all enjoy the animation.
