Description
There are not very many good orthos for the USS Prometheus. As a result, other artists have encouraged me to post these. I took liberties with the concept of ship separation. Fans have pointed out that this ship as originally designed would have required 3 warp cores not to mention a lot of extra space-consuming internal bulkheads where the ship separates. The two small engines on the original saucer section swing into place with no option for power conduits and appear too small for the mass of the saucer section.

My conception is a ship that splits in two, with two warp fighters as the third tactical advantage. They emerge from between the separation of the upper and lower half, giving them shield cover until they clear the rest of the ship.

The orthos currently available are presumably created from a the hectic process of doing a weekly show. Understandably, there were time constraints and the ship had to be done quickly. I opted to add a great deal of detail to the bottom. I am a canon purist at heart, but this ship needed some extra work.
