Description

Having been friends since being introduced to each other by their parents as little witchlings, Hamato Yoshi was considered an honorary brother to Eda and Lilith Clawthorne no matter what would happen to them. Even after Lilith joined the Emperor's Coven, Eda was cursed and became a criminal, and Yoshi was slain by the Shredder under Emperor Belos's orders only to be reincarnated as his Palisman Splinter through forbidden magic, Yoshi held out hope that the trio would be reunited someday. He would quickly get his wish when as Splinter, Yoshi found four baby turtles in an empty pizza box and took them to the person he trusted the most on the Isles, that being Eda. The witch and the Palisman would raise the four turtles, whom Splinter named Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo after an old book of Renaissance artists that Eda found during one of her earliest excursions to the human realm as a teen, like their own sons.

This family would start to grow with the later additions of King, Luz Noceda & April O'Neil, and Lilith, finally answering Splinter's prayers of the three's reunion. However, given that Lilith antagonized him and Eda as a member of the Emperor's Coven and revealed herself to be the one who cursed Eda, not everyone was pleased with a former enemy who nearly tore their family apart becoming a member herself. Nevertheless, Splinter had some words of wisdom prepared for such a situation. "Forgiveness and compassion shall always take time. So until the time comes for everyone to apologize, it's best to remain optimistic." Eda, Luz, King, Leo, and Don would follow these words to heart. Meanwhile, Mikey and Hooty welcomed Lilith with open arms, Mikey especially since he states that they face near-death situations pretty much every day, while April declared Lilith to be on thin ice and won't hesitate to attack her if she brings harm to Luz's way, and Raph refused to accept Lilith as a part of the gang after all she's done to them.
