Description This is a photo from last year when it was in all its golden glory. Kiddi took it.
It shows how turly beautiful this tree is. and it is huge.
It has stood there all my life and it means an awful lot to me

Today it faces its doom. Not because it is sick or anything, but because it grew weirdly and therefore poses a danger to the surrounding houses (including ours). I do understand why is has to go. I just wished it would not be so soon

Today I will mourn my beloved tree. It's like seeing a person dear to you die. It's very hard for me to deal with.

It still stands. Kinda. 1/3 of it is gone already though and by the end of the day, it will be completely gone.

Oh, no!

Man, I've seen so many things in my neighbourhood that used to be so eye-catching and important in my childhood just... diseappearing. Like they were never there.
They would be simple things, sometimes even silly ones! A very big tree in front of my house, a store on the street to my school were I used to buy Pokemon toys, a group of weird pineapple-looking trees on my way to a video rental shop nearby, the rental shop itself, even the local McDonalds that used to have a playgroud for the little kids... All of that... just gone. Just like that.

I'm sorry this had to happen to you too. I guess it's part of life, there's nothing we can do but move forward. But, man! I personally feel like a piece of myself, a piece of who I am has been taken away.

Gosh, I know this feeling too well. :c I had to witness the death of quite a lot of trees, both the ones who were sick (in our garden) and ones who were the victims of builders.
We have a gorgeous walnut in our garden, who is technically my soultree, ,,he" was born exactly when I did. I would be really sad to see him gone.
Your tree was gorgeous; at least their memory can always live on.

Awh, rest in peace, tree
I actually had a similar situation.... but with an abandoned house... I just liked it standing there for some reason? idk. Then one day someone set it one fire   Ah well

Aw, I kinda know the feeling . There were some of the biggest and prettiest trees growing up in my neighborhood park, but they were cut down because, as I heard, 'There was no need for them to be there".

Well at least your sis took that picture, that's good
