Anna: "Are you sure we are going the right way? It's getting really dark."Goth: "Why, do you not trust me, señorita?"
Anna: "Funny you should ask that. Most people who ask that often end up being backstabbers."
Goth: "You wound me! Have I ever led you astray up until this point?"
Anna: "That, there, right there. 'Up until this point' And get your claws off my throat!"
Goth: "Hmph," -moves his claws to hold onto her shoulders instead- "Such a suspicious one. Are all females of your species this untrusting?"
Anna: "Only to creepy bats who keep sniffing you! Will you QUIT that! I am this close to pushing you off and have you crawl with that busted wing of yours!"
Goth: -tsks and grows quiet-
Anna: Tch... he's worse in real life than he is in the books or show. Why am I helping him anyway?

LOL if I wasn't writing "Gone Batty" I'd write another story like this. xD

you know since I've re-watched the show and read "Gone Batty" I've always wondered how your version of Goth would react to encountering a bat like an Ahool (basically a 9ft tall bat that some people have claimed to encounter in South America)

Yeah, I'm starting to think that my "Disney" style is more of a "Don Bluth" style, which is interesting. I wonder why, considering I don't watch his movies very often. xP

Honestly, I prefer Don Bluth over Disney. His movies are entirely underrated, and have the "classic Disney" feel to it, although there are some dark moments, but I like them very much. Disney movies get all the success, fame, and fandom, (except for The Black Cauldron for some reason) and as far as I can remember, only few non-Disney animated movies became Broadway musicals, including Anastasia.
Even though I have mixed feelings about this, I wish Anastasia would get the live-action remake treatment starring Emma Watson as the titular character. But enough about that, I wish to see Don Bluth's studio come back to life, focusing mainly on the good old animation techniques we used to see growing up.
Keep up the good work. You are doing amazing! I wish to see more of your art in this style.

I love your avatar's expression, the gorgeous colours as usual with the deep purple background, the grainy look of the background, and your reuse of your Goth redesign!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Goth's expression, with the smile (which together with the thick lower jawbone practically screams the cartoon version) and the half-closed blue eye and the slightly-slanted malicious eyebrow!!! XD XD XD Goth's expression is amazing, honestly looks like something he'd have on his face in the show!!!

I think your human art is quite good. And might just be me but I think somehow Goth looks a tad bit more cuddly in this style, definitely still a villain, but I'd hug that.
It's definitely an interesting concept though, and it's always fun to explore alternatives to one's stories. I thought of an AU where Alex's and Setrin's ages are swapped, which would likely make a more original story concept since I don't think there's that many (if any at all) fanfictions of an adult non-Vampyrum bat trying to help a Vampyrum child to get back home. But alas that story would end up entirely different then and the current setup is the kind of story I wanna write. Might still eventually make the age swap AU a oneshot or something.

That is quite interesting. I like this quite a lot and i wonder, what kind of adventures you two would experience.
Hmm.. also image, a reversed scenario from Gone Batty: Goth meets you first in your human form and only afterwards you turn, maybe right before Goths eyes, into a Silverwing.
For Bonus points: Goth is back in shape and at a point from wich on he could continue alone.

Yeah, I could totally imagine us meeting that way, with me as a human. Some sort of circumstance get's me Dolittle'd so I can talk to animals and Goth and I are forced to work together. xD Lol, honestly, I'm not sure what would happen, or if I'd turn into a Silverwing specifically. But it's certainly a fun idea to play with. ^_^

Of course, the species could vary. This was more meant to induce a "oh crap!" moment. Kinda like "Well hello there, little tidbit." XD
But don't worry. While Goth sure favors deception and trickery (it's the predators way, after all), i don't think he double-cross someone on a whim.
If he hadn't already decided to betray you from the moment you first meet, he won't do it now, even if your new apearence makes his stomach growl.

xDDD It certainly would be fun to do that! And yeah, if Goth and I develop some sort of reluctant partnership/friendship, I doubt he'd try and eat me right away if I turn into a small bat. He'd probably try and use me until he gets what he wants in the end. Whatever it is...

But in the end, he might be mercyful. If i remember correctly, Goth actually planed on letting Shade live with him, in the south, if he had helped him.
So even if you are "of no more use" to him, Goth could very well either allow you to leave freely, or if this is not an option right now, he might grand you a safe place to stay.
Though, even then.. i don't know if he could or would make your stay a comfortable one. He dosn't try to make life hell, not at all. But what seems natural to Goth might have the opposite effect on us

True. But I also remember him wanting to bring the rest of the Silverwing colony as well so they would be slaves to the vampyrum and to Goth would have endless sacrifices to give to Zotz. Yes, there was a moment he believed that Shade would be far useful to him than Throbb and was actually considering to give him extra privileges in the jungle, but who knows how long that would have lasted? Goth thinks silverwings are pathetic and weak as well as their goddess. He also believes that humans are scum.
So, I'm not entirely sure what our dynamic would be. Being human would immediately dock me points with him. After being captured and brutally experimented on, I doubt he would view me favorably. But you are right about one thing, in the end he might be merciful. Ultimately, we might actually form a friendship, depending on circumstance. Maybe he'll think he can keep me as a bat forever, that I could renounce humanity and serve Zotz. I have human intelligence which Goth would probably find to be a benefit. Or something...I'm not sure. This will need excessive brainstorming. xD
