AT first I was amazed how things were so neat compare to old black and white Pokemon games.One of my favorite bits of this games. The reflection on water.

For the effect you're talking about, I'd love to keep it a secret.. haha but basically just using a scanned paper(with textures) gets a good feeling to the work. (:
