Description
This is the original sketch of Shikamaru and Ino-chan that was done on Open Canvas 1.1 on a TINY tablet. I drew the picture using several layers since this had more than one person. A basic blue line layer for each, a darker blue rougher sketch for placement, and final darker lines.

I had major problems with hands in this... why? I was going to draw her crossing her fingers behind her, like she's hoping that they get together or whatever, but... I just couldn't draw it. Normally if I need to draw right hands, I don't have too many problems with left hands since I can look at my own, I take digital shots of my own in the position I need it in, and then look at the screen on the back of the camera of the shot while I draw it, but... since Boyo was on 'Vacation' he had taken the digicame with him. Hince why all my recent pictures the hands aren't quite right.

just complaining! I'll keep working on drawing hands a lot better.

After that was done, I edited it in photoshop 7 to bring them closer together, fix minor things like that hair bun cover she's wearing. And lightened the lines to a lighter brown shade before coloring.

It's missing the lines that are on Shikamaru's shirt, those were done after my fixes. When I reopened it in Open Canvas to start the coloring portion.

I'm not happy with how Ino came out, but for the first time sketching her, I don't think it's too bad.

Overall time: ??? more than a few hours, Ino took longer than Shikamaru to sketch out.
References: one screen capture of Ino's face/outfit and one manga picture for Shikamaru's expression. I didn't need anything else for him, he's so fun to draw.
