Como líder es justa y atenta, y siempre procura escuchar todas las opiniones del clan. En sus años jóvenes llevaba una vida tranquila, los problemas con el clan de Shenzi no eran tan comunes antes del reinado de Scar. Estaba muy enamorada de Jabari . Tiene una buena relación con su hermana Aren y su cuñado Kofi . Sus mejores amias son Ashura y Mzisi. Tiene una fuerte enemistad con Fuvu .

Tanesha is a calm hyena. Her personality is very similar to that of her daughter Madoa . She is a sweet and loving mother. As a leader she is fair and caring, and she always tries to listen to all opinions of the clan. In her young years she had a quiet life, her problems with Shenzi's clan were not so common before Scar's reign. She was very in love with Jabari . She has a good relationship with her sister Aren and her brother-in-law Kofi . Her best friends are Ashura and Mzisi. She has a strong enmity with Fuvu .

She has a not very wide triangular nose. She only has dark spots on the top of her muzzle. She has a grayish-brown iris. her crest is dark with light stripes and grows upwards. The first strands of her crest (those that grow on her forehead) fall forward. Her tail is short and with light stripes. She has an elongated spot that runs all over her back. She does not present cuts in the ears.
