A small excerpt:
“It is clearly dead, she-cat. Come on, get up. The Clans are waiting. It is going to be dusk soon, and the Shadowers will be catching up.” Poison Ivy ripped the dead kit out of Soaringbranch’s grasp.
“You!” Soaringbranch screeched madly. “You killed her! You’re a murderer!”
“Poison Ivy-” Cardinalstar objected as she had taken the kit away.
“She killed her! It’s all her fault!” Soaringbranch madly swiped at Poison Ivy, who slammed her face to the ground in response.
“Poison Ivy!” Cardinalstar hissed, lurching forward to assure himself that his mate was alright. Soaringbranch crawled forward and returned the deceased kit to her paws, vigorously licking it in an attempt to awaken it.
Poison Ivy harshly hissed at Soaringbranch, before grabbing the dead kit and flinging it to the side.
“Get up. It’s just a kit. It’s just yet another death. Deerspring lost her kit, she got up and kept going. She knew Moonpaw for over eight moons.” Poison Ivy snarled through bared teeth.
