He's hanging out, he's chatting up his lady (bargirl!Jessie makes me smile), and he's persuading some ruffians to hightail it. If I was you, friend, I'd take one giant step back, finish your whiskey and go on home. P.S. That shotgun is all fucked up. PRETEND IT LOOKS GOOD.I've been asked plenty of times to do a humanized version of Buzz, but I could never get past that spacesuit. I mean, his anatomy depends on it. But I gave it a shot, and lo n' behold, he actually looks pretty good!
The conundrum of Buzz's hair is hilarious to me. Is he bald under that cowl? If not, he must have some serious hat-head going on. My sister said it seemed pretty obvious he'd be rockin' a Clark Kent 'do, so that's what I gave him. And he strikes me as a dirty blonde kind of guy.
Buzz is growing on me. He's a goodhearted chap, and that's very attractive, no matter who you are.

On a serious not: I never could picture Buzz without his suit. Thanks for the drawing! I always just pictured him as a spaceman, I could never get past that. It's nice to actually see him as more than that. It gives him more dynamic, makes him more approachable, you know?

Yeah, Buzz is kinda like the Iron Giant to me. You just see the huge metal thing, and then you forget that inside they have feelings.

There is something to be said -- something MAJOR -- for a villain with a terrible weakness for a certain woman. No bullets can cut him down, but that lady can cripple him with just a smile. ^_^

ooh, so true, I think that's what I saw in bad ass woody, and for some reason, those men are the best. I guess it's cause you've got 'em wrapped around your finger, and it can be kind of entertaining at times. Not to mention that no one else can get to their heads, so knowing you have the power, only makes you feel all the more special

uff these studies, sketches like these are just so enjoyable to look at! honestly Buzz sans suit had never really occurred to me (actually, the concept of Toy Story fanart as more than just a novelty was foreign until I landed on your page and was promptly swayed) but seeing these drawings he looks entirely natural - which considering how integral it is to his design is just terrific.
I love the fluidity of your drawings, there's not a line wasted and they're so clean and pretty, especially the mean looking ones (pff, the shotgun!) your style's so solid and yet so expressive at the same time. even simply your presentation of these is fab.
the whole idea of this universe (and bargirl Jessie. BARGIRL JESSIE! she is fabulous, I love her) is so attractive and so... likely (that's not the best word but oh well, it tried), I love it. more please! %D
also, Buzz's hair - along with basically every other feature here - is KILLING me. just so... so charming! so handsome in such a wholesome, unassuming way. ol' fashioned lover boy. o/

I hear that I've got a real steady hand when I sketch, which has its pros and cons. I love the look of messy sketching, and it usually means better proportioning and such. The way I do it, all my sketches are basically finished. I think it's laziness. ;D
This was totally fun to do, a good challenge, and I personally can't get enough of different artists' variations on these characters. I love seeing what people can do!

You know. I always thought it would be weird to see Buzz with hair, but you made it look completely normal for him to have it. His anatomy looks awesome as well.
