Description
One of the panels from my Labyrinth art meme -- you got cheated! ;DThis is my favorite scene in Labyrinth. (Me, and like, every other girl who watches it) It kills me how Jareth spends the movie up to then taunting and eluding her, making her quest pretty miserable. She's looking for him in the crowd of masqueraders and he brushes past her, laughs at her, teases her, and then suddenly there she is right in front of him, and she's all he wants. He's completely owned by her. It's that beautiful ballet of power. So romantic it makes my head swim.
I spent more time on this one than the other panels, and it's pretty, I think. The dark side of Sarah's face gave me hell, though. She's so impossibly beautiful that I can never get her right. But I think I did a pretty good job on Jareth.

Mmmm I love this movie so much - and even though Jereth was supposed to be bad guy - he is/was awesome - even though it was the wrong way - he only ever wanted to make her happy.

Alright, so despite the fact that I am the proper age to have fallen in love with Labyrinth as a child, I watched it for the first time two days ago. AND I FELL DEEPLY, DEEPLY IN LOVE!!
I remembered thinking this was beautiful the first time I saw it when I knew nothing of the film, and now I am awed into a stunned stupor of stupidness!
Excellent, gorgeous, timeless, lovely! AND THIS IS SO MY FAVORITE PART!

Simply gorgeous and stunning...I love her expression and how beautiful this illustration is. This is from the movie, Labyrinth? I saw a comercial for a movie by such a name and yet I thought that it was a horror movie about a little girl having to go to an underground city...but I remember it being called Pan's Labyrinth, so I'm not sure if it's the same thing. But besides that, it is a wonderful picture and you did such a lovely job on this, thank you very much

*giggles..* the pic is lovely. go David Bowie! go David Bowie!
and yes, the Labyrinth is a very old movie... in fact, I don't even remember this scene... I was much too young when I saw it for the first time.
I only remember them stealing the baby :'( and the pit of tar...
hmm--I might have to go back and watch it again myself.

& I especially looove the song you were listening to.
Hehe, it seems rather appropriate. ;]
I saw Bjork live a year ago, I fought my way through the crowd to be near the stage, & it's rather breathtaking!!

You've already received so many comments on this--I don't imagine I could say anything that hasn't already been voiced. But wow. This is incredible, and I very much enjoy your skill with traditional mediums.
I just re-watched the movie last night, the first time since 4th grade (college student now). I hadn't realized until last night that there was a love story involved. And now I'm quite enamored with the whole thing.
Excellent, excellent piece!

you are such a talented artist, but this is one of my favorite works of yours, the other being Red Wave.
I love the emotion you captured in this, that moment of hesitation in Sarah, that sense of "Now that I have him, do I really want him?"
and his HAIR! I just want to run my fingers through it, it looks so touchable and scrumptious. (course that could be just me being fangirly, but hey)
fantastic job again. I hope I can have half of your talent one day! You're truly an inspiration; don't ever stop drawing...
