More Night Vale stuff! Carlos sits Cecil down for a full-scale exam For Science, starting with that lovely (alleged) third eye.Even I think my Carlos is hot, but then, I have a terrific weakness for dark-haired dudes going gray at the temples.
I recycled my octopus from the last drawing. I worked really hard on it, and also, I'm lazy.

Is it bad that the first thing I noticed is that you made Cecil's Third Eye violet? And that it matches his shirt? teehee. You're totally spoiling me with geekery, and I love it so much. I love the contrasts in their faces, how concentrated and wowed Carlos is against the ease of Cecil. He doesn't even seem to care that his glasses are drooping.Β

It amuses me that if it weren't for his third eye looking dead on at Carlos, Cecil would have a love struck expression. Β

Without eyebrows, I feel like a person's expression would be harder to judge. I think his third eye is probably feelin' pretty lovestruck, too.

You know the podcast is good when it's engrossing even when Cecil's not talking about Carlos, which is of course what we're all waiting for. It's funny, though -- when I first started listening, I thought his voice was dull as hell. So crisp and wooden. I don't feel that way at all anymore, and in fact when I went back to the first episode to listen all over again, I was surprised by how sort of gentle he sounds. The second episode, the way he says "Good night, listeners" is very sweet. And then there's last night's, ha! "GOOD NIGHT." DOOOM.

While I really do like it when he starts talking about Carlos, I am not sure it is what I am waiting for. Β Don't get me wrong, I would love for him to gush about Carlos more. Β I would also be interested in learning more about Josie, Kevin, and the faceless old woman. Β Really I would be happy if all broadcasting time about spiders, was replaced with just about anything else. Β
Really? Β When I first started listening I thought the premise sounded really forced. Β It was his voice and the fan base that got me to keep listening until he started talking about Carlos. Β After that I was hooked and it seemed perfectly natural. Β I love the ways he says good night, although my favorite is when he sounds like he could be tucking us in or kissing Carlos on the forehead as he says it with such a strong desire for there to be a good night. Β

The most beautiful guy I ever knew was a guy in my 12th grade Spanish class. Classic cleancut "nerd" complete with parted hair and sweater vests, Typical Indian coloring and sharp features, and the clincher were his pale brown eyes that ranged from golden amber to smokey orange. They were unreal.
Unfortunately, he was going steady with another girl, so I had a snowball's chance.
